MF Lace-in Frame System

MF Lace-in Frame system

The MF frame system is a very popular system for general cinema and auditorium use. It is readily adaptable for most projection requirements.

The MF frame can be made any size up to 23m x 12.5m high. The frame consists of vertical towers braced together in pairs at approximately 2.5m apart. The screen rail is connected to the front of the towers in straight lengths. If the screen is curved, the towers are placed to follow the arc of the curve and the screen rails interconnect the towers to form a curve. Larger units are available as 'specials'. The maximum picture size is a 300mm reduction on both dimensions of the frame.

MF frames are floor standing with brace stabilisation to the rear.

MF frames require a webbed and eyeleted screen surface, which is laced into the frame. The lacing area needs to be covered by masking.

The MF frame can be supplied with a raked screen.

MF frames can be supplied with fixed or moving masking systems, or a combination of both, which can be electrically or winch operated. Moving side or top and bottom masking systems are available. The frame can also be modified to carry additional track systems for close over curtains. Electric controllers (motors), used to drive masking and curtain systems, are normally secured to the floor but can be frame or wall mounted.

Speaker mounting platforms can be incorporated within the frame, if required.
