Harkness Screens has developed a completely new surface for home cinema called Starlight. Drawing on years of experience making screens for multiplex cinemas, Harkness has developed a new coated surface designed to provide optimum performance with the latest DLP projectors used in home cinema.
Starlight's special coated surface enhances contrast and provides clear images when viewing even the darkest scenes in a movie. The screen has some 'gain' which ensures a bright image and can enable projectors to be used in 'economy' mode.
The surface can tolerate ambient light and reduce the 'washout' which other surfaces are vulnerable to.
